and Qualifications The Nursing Manager, in collaboration with the
Director, is responsible for the clinical and financial outcomes of
the unit. The manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations
of the unit, including promoting positive patient, employee and
physician satisfaction. The manager will assist the unit director
to meet or exceed the monthly operating budget. The manager, in
collaboration with the appropriate clinical educator/resource, will
assure appropriate unit orientation and ongoing staff competency.
- You will participates in providing patient specific care
standards as directed, and follows service excellence standards to
ensure high levels of patient satisfaction.
- You will be primarily in a managerial, administrative role with
clinical responsibilities based on the needs of the unit and may be
adjusted from time to time to accommodate the changing needs of the
unit.
- You will manage unit operations.
- You will manage unit personnel activities.
- You will coordinate inter and intra departmental activities of
the unit. You will develop a professional climate within the
nursing unit/units. What qualifications you will need:
- Current Texas RN License or a Compact RN license from a NCLA
Compact State. New hires have 90 days from start date to obtain
Texas RN License; BLS and ACLS/ALS certifications required as per
St. David's HealthCare policy.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. Minimum of three years'
experience as a charge nurse, coordinator, or supervisor. St.
