In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance. -Our Registered Nurses have access to a variety of resources to help you reach your goals including:

    • 24 beds Medical Intensive Care Unit
    • Patient to Nurse ratio 1-2:1
    • Provides care for non-trauma, high acuity medical and surgical patients including interviews such as CABG, Impella, and SLED
    • The physicians are highly engaged and provide 24/7 coverage

      • Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.

      • Assists with staff scheduling. Manages all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines. Supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.
      • Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
      • Supports the mission and vision of the Methodist Healthcare System. Understands and is committed to helping the Methodist Healthcare System and its associated facilities achieve its goals.
      • Must learn and comply with System and facility safety policies and rules; must use appropriate safety equipment and procedures at all times; must immediately report all unsafe conditions to supervisors; must be familiar with all safety features of equipment, tools or materials encompassed by job duties; and must check with supervisors (prior to job performance) if there is a question as to the safe procedure to be used for any job function.
